With more than 10 years of professional coaching experience in Spain, Yuri is the Co-founder and head coach of the Barcelona International Water Polo Academy.

GABOR EGEDI
BIWPA Coach
Born in Hungary, Gabi has been the coach of the professional women's team at Club Natació Catalunya for 9 years, and has been coaching at BIWPA's Academy and other programs since September 2021.
As a player, Gabi participated internationally in all age groups of the Hungarian national team and played for the professional teams Honvéd and Szolnok.
His professional career as a player he played for:
Honvéd and Szolnok, Pays d'Aix, Montpellier, Tourcoing, and Noisy-le-Sec (France); Duisburg in Germany; and in Spain with CN Sant Andreu, CN Montjuïc, and CN Catalunya.
Among his most notable achievements are winning the Hungarian league championship with Honvéd and the German Cup championship with Duisburg.

About Barcelona International Water Polo Academy (BIWPA)
Barcelona Internacional Water Polo Academy (BIWPA) is a project of excellence and quality moved by the enthusiasm and willingness to educate young water polo players at all athletic, human and intellectual levels.
BIWPA was born in 2014 with the intention to broadcast a way of training that has been developing particularly in Spain, which is based on the improvement and enhancement of individual skills.
BIWPA Mission
We offer a variety of training camps, conceived and directed by renowned coaches with international recognition. These are programs based on sporting excellence, both for young players who want to improve their technique and for teams who want to elevate their game.
We believe in a methodology that has been successfully developing for 15-20 years in the Catalan Swimming Federation (FCN) and in Barcelona, which focuses on the fundamentals, the individual and technique and tactics, combined with real game situations and decision making. The achievements and skills of BIWPA coaches as players are undoubtedly valuable, what truly sets them apart is their deep knowledge and extensive training in the sport of water polo.
